today I had my squat maximum effort workout.
It usually goes like this,
warmup - hold 45lb plate overhead X 20, bar x 10, 135x10, 225x8,
heavy (box squat) - 315x3, 365x3, 405x1, 425x1, 435x1
(I try to break a record every week)
work - 275x6 deep/explosive + jump squats W/135 to failure -- pyramid down 3 sets 225,185
that was my workout from last week
I'm in week 7 of the cycle and feeling awesome but last night I went out with some buddies for the first time since I started. They are entering the draft and finished their pd workouts so they wanted to hit the strip club with the money their agents gave them - I drank for the first time in over 2 months (3 beers spaced over about 4 hours, never even felt buzzed). I hadn't been going out so I hadn't really been getting any play lately. This place was awesome - one of the best in the country and the strippers were all over us. A bunch of them invited us to come party with them at closing time and I ended up hooking up with the hottest girl I have ever laid eyes on, absolute perfect ten, cute face, big boobs, pierced nipples, perfect tan, brunette - playboy hot. We ended up going at it twice and then her friend joined us. complete debauchery.
Today I had my squat workout and I struggled at 365 and failed at 405 -- I mean I couldn't even lift it once. Does this happen to anyone else, I remember the quotes from rocky and bull durham about girls making your legs weak but this is nuts.
Now leading up to this I had not gotten any in about 4 weeks, I was completely immersed in training and school. I workout twice a day, eat 7 meals, sleep 9 hours and I am in the best shape of my life. I don't think the beers would have made that much of a difference because they went right through me, but since getting it on last night I am so much more relaxed today.
btw, in case anyone didn't know - I guess strippers love big muscles
