Does arresting prostitutes....

how so?
haha, no. im just wathing tv and i see a cop talking about this endless cycle of aressting prostitutes and them getting out and going straight back to the sreets. Does arresting them really make a difference since there making enough money to pay the fines. If anything i would think they'd need to turn more trick to pay their court fees.

Prostitution has been reported ever since recorded history in one form or another. Nothing practical is going to stop it, so let's just embrace it already. Just use similar protocols to Nevada or Amsterdam with the healthchecks/cards updated regularly and buyer beware. Let the Government take their cut and just about everyone is happy. I basically view it as a victimless crime. It's here anyway, so we mine as well organize it and clean it up a great deal in the process.

Where i am from prostitution is legal. You must get a health test first and the profession is regulated. It is only allowed in certain areas and is controlled. A little child is not going to see it happening in his neigborhood.
Men are always going to want to pay for sex. There are MUCH fewer sex related crimes in the netherlands then amerika. Maybe because our ideas about human sexuality is healther.

The act itself isn't so bad. Selling is legal. And fucking is legal so why shouldn't selling fucking be legal? However prostitution brings many undesirable elements with it. And no one wants to see hookers walking their street.

Huntmaster, what possible advantages could their be to keeping prostitution illegal when it could be legal, regulated and because it's going to be done anyway, safer for those involved. Doesn't hurt you or I any....what's the problem?

The thing about prostitution is, you can't do anything to stop it. They wont make the laws stricter on it because we really dont need more people in the prison system. I wouldn't say its a victimless crime because a lot of hookers have std's. The cops ticket the prostitutes, hold them for a couple hours and let them out. Believe me, they will go right back to sellling their bodies on the streets. BUT they will move to a different area to do it otherwise they know they will get picked up again and they definitely don't want that. Because time is money.

They don't want some fucking crack whores fucking up their business. You know? So no matter how many brothels they build, there will always be hookers on the streets.

Prostitutes being arrested ? Hummm I don't work for a municipal cop Dep. so I dont know the exact stats on this but I'm sure here there's not a lot of them arrested. Usually it's for public nuisance. I mean those uggly fat prostitutes you find here in Montreal on the corner of Ste-Catherine and ST-Laurent. You never hear about a classy escort being arrested.

Prostitution is legal all through holland and i know this is the best way. the girls dont walk the street but have their own rooms and many have like windows so you can pick which you want. They only practise safe sex and have regular aids tests done. theres a minimum wage for them. they pay fucking tax.

street prostitution is a different kettle of fish from high class hotel shit like manny pointed out.
a lot of the girls in the street are IV drug users (not saying the other types ofhooker aren;t, but there are greater no in the street), don't practise safe sex etc. i would have no problem in trying to get them off the street except i doubt it would work
they should legalise prostitution, to try and enforce laws stopping sex slaves being brought into the country, to try and promote safe sex, and to try and allow the prostitues to approach health officals/authority more eaisly (already happens)

street prostitution is bad. Theres nothing worse than walking your child to the bus stop and seeing somebody getting it in your neighbors yard and it's not the neighbor! It's all the i.v. drug users and crack whores. They generally don't use condoms. The majority of clients are married men. It's not victimless they bring home diseases to their wives. It's very scary.
