Does anyone here work all 3 shoulder muscles individually?

As in the anterior, lateral and posterior delts?

On the one hand a lot of bodybuilders seem to believe that the anterior delts get hit enough from their chest workout, with the inclusion of a few sets of OH pressing being the weapon of choice for direct delt stimulation, and similarly the posterior (rear) delts get hit enough from their back workout.

But on the other hand, are the posterior and lateral delts being neglected by the above approach?

So does anybody here do a shoulder workout that consists of more than just some variety of OH pressing and front/lateral raises? Does anyone incorporate direct rear delt work in their shoulder workout for example? Or do most people just like to keep it simple?

Cheers

I do the machine for rear delts, shoulder presses, front lateral raises (cable or dumbell) and side lateral raises. I'll also alternate in some Arnold presses instead of normal shoulder presses. 3 sets each usually in the 10 rep range. My shoulders are definitely getting stronger, but not sure if its correct way to work out shoulders or not or not... I'd be def interested also on some shoulder workouts of others also.

I agree on the idea of front delts being hit enough from chest work, mine are always sore after bench day...

are you asking if you work them on dif days or if you do seperate excersizes.?

cause in my op, you can do rear delts on a shoulder day or on a back day.

I do all three separately (but same day/same workout), and I get great results (see my avatar pic). I do dumbell raises front and side, and I use the machine for rear. 3 or 4 sets of medium weight (12 reps not exhaustion), then 2 or 3 sets of heavy weight (5 or 6 reps to total exhaustion each set). I do feel some benefit from bench presses on my anterior delts, but not enough alone to get them ripped and big.

All three shoulder muscles?

I only have two - left shoulder and right shoulder - I always work them together.

Seriously though. For me it's either a pull or a press:

Clean Deadlift
Clean
Powerclean
Clean pull
High clean pull
Snatch dead
Snatch
Power Snatch
Snatch pull
High snatch pull

Standing press
Push press
Jerk

And partials of the above, overhead squats are also awesome.

Anything else is delt masturbation.

laterals 4x8-12
Smith presses 4x8-10
Rear laterals on machine 3x12-15
Upright rows 2x10-12 (sometimes)
