Does anyone here test their Blood Glucose

If so, what is a good fasting blood glucose score? I've gotten scores from the 80's to low 100's upon waking, which is freakin strange because I also test right before going to bed and my score is usually in the 70's. How can my blood glucose be higher in the morning than it is when I go to bed?

Anyway, if this isn't a fluke i'm definitely freaked out by this, as I understand a score in the 100's after fasting is NOT GOOD.

Any thoughts on this?

Hmmmm... I test my regularly, but I do fairly low carb year round, and am hypoglycemic. Mine is usually between 40 & 55 upon waking. What is your diet like?

I usually eat pretty clean - lots of carbs, but usually clean carbs such as whole grains, regular oatmeal, veggies, etc - I will splurge on cake and chocolate once in a while,..

Even still, i'm shocked that my BG tested so high....it was at 111mg/ml a couple of days ago, but it seems to fluctuate alot.
I don't eat anything within 4 hours of bedtime.

If you have a fasting glucose level of 100, maybe it is a good idea to check your glucose tolerance, ask your doctor.
If you get hypoglycemic in the middle of the night, there is a metabolic response by some counter regulating hormones that will boost your glucose levels up, that is a possibility to explain higher levels in the morning. This can happen mostly if you are not ingesting carbo at night.I´m not saying this is it, just a possibility.
Also, you cannot trust the result of a single measure.

Agreed. If you test (fasting) at 100 or above, you've got indicative signs of IR (Insulin Resistance). There's several natural ways to counter this, but ultimately, it means a low-carb, low-glycemic diet the rest of your life to avoid Diabetes. I have this as well (IR, not Diabetes) and test at 108 if I've been not true to my low-carb diet :D you know, pizza really is a health food.

Fuck !!!! I'm gonna keep track of it for a few more weeks and hope it goes down.....Gonna start taking chromium and glucophage (as much as I hate to...they both make me sick as a dog, but their effects are undeniable)....

I'm also presently taking low dose T3, could that possibly have an effect on glucose levels? Just curious
