LOL @ the rationalizing and the idea that an drug addiction is different if it's a script drug. The reason why the doctor stopped writing scripts for Rush was the his doctor knew the drug had a dependancy factor in it.

Using a pharmacist as a dealer by bribing him as illegal as buying crack from a dealer on the street. There is no difference

LOL @ the Republicans on here

that's a fair view just next when a politican or pundit of your liking fucks up i want you to hold them to the strict accountability that you do with conservatives. this point is totally lost on you.
i respect your point, but not your biased rationale.

fuckin' commie

Rush Limbaugh was a draft dodger, probably still is a hillbilly coke head. Why should I listen to him? You're an idiot for listening to any of them.

Fuckin' fascist.

My father was hooked on pain meds after a back operation where they removed a disk. It's very easy. Crack is an illegal substance, and getting hooked on it requires the use of an illegal substance. Rush's dependence on Oxycontin was due to initially being prescribed it by a competent doctor.

Same thing happened to my mother although she had 8 back operations rather than one.

Not just initially. He was always buying the drugs with a prescritpion. He never stopped.

The actual case they tried to make against him, and which the prosecutor was forced to acknowledge he had not one shred of evidence of, was that he was getting multiple prescriptions for the pain killers.

No one is disputing that he had the surgery for chronic back problems, which apparently are very painful. Or that the surgery was unsuccessful.

He and his doctors deemed that further surgery would be more risky than beneficial.

Frankly I fail to see any similarity between his case and that of a typical drug addict. Nor would any of the ones whining on this thread were the person involved anyone but Rush Limbaugh.

In fact if it was any one of your parents or siblings they would be making the case I am now. Calling someone in chronic pain a drug addict, the same as a crak or heroine user, for taking pain meds is inane.

This one on Kurt Cobain is telling as well... Coming from a drug adict
On Kurt Cobain: "Kurt Cobain was, ladies and gentleman, was a worthless shred of human debris."

I googled and Yahoo'ed that extensively to try and find the context of the quote.

Every single one tends to reference some site called rotten.com , that one being a part of a longer list. I haven't been able to find a single credible source to verify it, nor anything that states more than that one sentence.

Without context its impossible to judge what was actually being communicated. But apparently its huge on liberal blogs, with everyone parroting that same source.

In any case where are they are scumbag quotes you were going to provide?

dullboy thought that rush limbaugh was absolved of any wrongdoing...

rush limbaugh seems to make good points if you agree with his politics.

if you don't agree with his politics, then he probably doesn't make good points to you.

dullboy on the other hand, always makes good points.

And I will be glad when Rush is "impeached" from radio and thrown in jail

dullboy is confused.

what's he going to jail for? the "doctor shopping" case has been resolved in his favor.

dullboy thinks that you may be misinformed.

So true, but bed wetting liberals will never ever admit that. Logical reasoning is non-existant w/ them.

gh fuggin read this.
admit you hold him to a higher standard than you would someone else.
if your beloved Nagin or Blanco admitted to a drug addiction you would be willing to give them another chance in life. were you this pissy with ted or patrick kennedy? i really doubt it.
i like you bor but arguing with you is like arguing with a rock. you got to bend a little bor, or else what is the point of debating?
