I like Rush. I even saw him speak at an Amway convention, about 15 yrs ago, LOL. Some of his rhetoric is a little too fanatical, but still. & the Drugs? Give me a break. How many other peeps have got hooked on their prescription meds.

Face it... The dude you idolize is a frickin crackhead, but yet gets patronizing on other crackheads...

I know it's rationalizing, but unless I'm missing something, Rush isn't a crackhead. As far as I know he was addicted to pain meds.
The reality is, there's a hell of a lot of difference between a guy who got addicted to his pain meds & a guy who lives the drug addled life of a recreational drug using Rock Star.
Or the guy who's breaking into houses stealing stuff & beating people to feed his addiction.

My father was hooked on pain meds after a back operation where they removed a disk. It's very easy. Crack is an illegal substance, and getting hooked on it requires the use of an illegal substance. Rush's dependence on Oxycontin was due to initially being prescribed it by a competent doctor.

LOL @ the rationalizing and the idea that an drug addiction is different if it's a script drug. The reason why the doctor stopped writing scripts for Rush was the his doctor knew the drug had a dependancy factor in it.

Using a pharmacist as a dealer by bribing him is illegal as buying crack from a dealer on the street. There is no difference
