Do you tell your doctor your on AAS?

Absolutely..it is advised to have your doc in the loop. All information between you and him is strictly confidential and I have him take blood tests after every cycle for me. He does not completely approve but he manages any problems I have if they arise.

he doesn't document your use at all? so it's not in your file and won't come up in the future when they assume your broken hip is because of aas and refuse to pay for anything?

You know on that I am not compeltely sure swole. I may have to ask him about it but I would assume he has notes that would show I have confided to him about my AAS use but not anything specific within a file that is for use outside his own due to the legality of it. That said if I were to break a hip as in your example why would that change anything relating to insurance unless my doc specifically implied to the insurance company that the break could be related to my AAS use. I know for certain that would never happen.

He is my family practioner and as I have been on high blood pressure medication for years I thought was in my best interests that he knew exactly what I was doing. Occassionally on cycle we need to change drugs or doses for my blood pressure and without him knowing that would be hard to do.

The only real problem i can think of would be life insurance. If you had a policy, then died of a cause that could possibly be pinned on roids, and the insurance company somehow found out about it, they might not pay out to the family.

Although i have no idea what actually happens. I imagine that there is a process similar to filing a claim where some typical investigation is done into the cause of death.

After weighing the pros and cons, I'd prefer to keep it a secret from my doctor.

unless you're on hrt i don't understand why you would tell him

you can still get the necessary bloodwork done even with a doc or through an independent company

insurance should cover a yearly or bi-yearly checkup

My point though that if something does happen to go wrong your most likely going to have disclose your AAS use at that time so why not be upfront about it to start with.
