Its not the test but the oil that degrades the rubber. Have had the ready jects some time back with no troubles. If you have a choice its better to just load the vials, though

Yes it is the acid in the oil that eats up the rubber tip. I received this info directly from a source, a rather high volume one at that. So I tend to accept as a high potential issue.

No need to refridgerate. Test stores perferfectly at room temperature. The only other recommendation I would make is store in dark place. Direct sunlight can impact it's molecular structure. Sock drawer works great
