you running low on subject matter?
No, just figured a thread about the arts is better than yet another thread about men warning other men to guard their man seeds from the wicked succubus that will suck the lives out of them....lol.

You don't need to have an opinion about opera, if you don't want to.

actually, I like jazz alot and listen to it from time to time, and sometimes slow mellow opera. Now that chariots are women are being chased and killed kinda opera. The melodic stuff. I like jazz mroe when I'm smoking a cigar every couple of months, but SOME opera will work with that as well. I is a cultered country boy.

Yes, if I miss it, I tape the damn thing. She's got some great tips. Especially that Dr. Ozz bastard skinny fuck. He knows his shit.

I just finished watching a show on "Paying attention". Awesome, but I didn't get it really.

I've been to a few. Marriage of Figaro is by far my favorite. I have a few cds to listen to at home, but being at the opera is a much greater experience.

I think its a great OS, and a local Norwegian company as well. It has nearly all of the features of IE, and works very well with all webspaces.

If it was opera singing style, then, no, I hate it.

carry on.

I enjoy the pitch changes and the talent it takes to belt out those notes. I would however find it more enjoyable if I could understand what was being said.

you mean like "tommy". . ."the wall"?? then. . .yes. otherwise no. . .i'm not nearly complex enough to enjoy soemthing like that. . .takes entirely too much work on the part of the listener. . .

lol...It is much better if you go to it. I used to have the three sopranos and La Boheme on CD's but I rarely found myself listening to them at home. I can only like it at the show, it seems. Even still, I think I just prefer going to the regular theater or to musicals.

no... it hurts my ears... seriously!

I went to my first opera at age 10, it was "Sampson and Delilah" done in french. For a while I went at least once a year but haven't gone in a while. I probably have at least 15 full operas on cd and a few more cds that are compilations.

Favorite so far has been "Madama Butterfly" in Italian.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Dude, that covers a helluva lot more music than opera, lol.

lol true true. I guess I can handle not understanding the vocals as long as it sounds bitchin (lamb of god style.)

no it sounds terrible and I can't understand wtf they're saying
Lots of times when you go now, they have translations on a screen over the stage. I think it makes it easier for those of us who are not opera aficianados.
