When I look at myself in the mirror I just don't see the body I want. I'm 5'9" 182 lbs at about 15%BF. My abs show only in good lighting but simply look flat most of the time. I've had some decent lifts in powerlifting in the past (405 bench on juice with shirt and at a body weight of 190) I've squatted 465 in the 165 weight class (before juice) and gave 485 a good ride (I stood up with it and had good depth but got red lighted for racking before the signal) I also squatted 473.5 in the 181 wt class. On juice I've squatted 515 weighing about 190. However, I simply don't have much mass compared to bodybuilders. I've had many years of training, most of it has been powerlifting type training. I'm wondering if I had trained more like a BB for the 15 years I've lifted if my body would look better. Are there any other people that have spent most of their time power training that aren't satisfied with their physique? You know the old saying " all bodybuilders want to be powerlifters and all powerlifters want to be bodybuilders". I think there's some truth to it.

Mass requires calories, man. If you haven't gained as much size as you want, it's probably more from diet than anything else. BTW, that's some great strength for your size.

Im in the same boat for size bro,Im 190 5'6 and 14-15% I figure and Im not happy what so ever,I really want to do a show next year but I wont ever be happy enough to feel confident in stepping on stage. and I sometimes wish I had got into more power stuff as Im not all that strong and might have had some better progress in that side of the sport. for now I keep plugging away and waiting for next cycle and see if I can get closer to where I want to be.

bro i hear ya loud and clear. for me its diet for than anything, and right now there isnt much i can do about it. living at home with the rents and playing hockey and going to school its so hard to eat right bc there is nothing here and i have no money. just to maintain my weight i have to pack in the food, and the right kind. im actually losing weight right now but luckily my strength is slowly increasing. bah there is no possible way to eat that many calories and play a sport 6 days a week. ill have to wait till march i guess.

I have built quite bit of muscle with strength/power type training, maybe it's just my genes, or maybe I'm doing something to cause it :)
