Do you enjoy your job?

I wouldn't say that what I do is a barrel of monkeys, but I am content here. =-)

i make about £26,000 a year, standard (before overtime/bank shifts) which i think is about $50,000. i love my job and i wouldnt change it for some boring office crap worth double the cash.

I blistered an opponent in court yesterday (made him look like a fool). That is always FUN, FUN, FUN. Sucks when it is me getting blistered, though...lol

huh? the careers advisor never told me about that when they came round in high school! im a noob paramedic.
Paramedics make that much? That is pretty good!

we do in good old blighty. i think the actual exchange rate is closer to $1.00=£0.62 so it is probably a bit less than $50,000. i did the 4 year combined course in paramedical science and trauma nursing, so i can add another few grand on it if i can be arsed to do a few shifts as a nurse in a+e.

I like both my jobs. Money ain't much, but they pay the bills, and I have the time and energy to train my guts out.

I have two: one to make money and advance a career, and one I enjoy and would do for free if I had to.

I like them both, but if I could make decent money as a PT and not have the swings of business I'd still be doing it full time. I also like having a salary and security of my full time gig.

Yeah ... fuck that.

This is the internet ... you make a bit more than $50k for being a newbie paramedic

I love what I do and I'm good at it but I have grown tired of the people I end up working for so I wouldn't mind a a change but I know that people can be a problem in any industry.

Any potential employer in a field unrelated to your current one will immediately recognize your shit-together-ness, which will make for a most seamless transition into any new career path of your choosing.

do you work in downtown chicago?
sometimes. we have a job at the shedd aquarium starting in oct. right now we are in downers grove building some condo/retail buildings. part of its over 60ft tall. i'm the lucky guy who gets to build all the scaffolding up the side of teh building.

God I love heights
i don't mind but it gets a little tough when you are on a scaffold that is rocking like a boat and your building it up more and walking 16ft planks down it. also also working on the edge of it. but it does get better aftr you tie it in to the wall for support. the last kid they sent out to help almost had a nervous breakdown within 10 minutes of being up there. i feel safer working on the stuff i build rather than walking onto someone else's nightmare.

Simple question.

Whatever it is you do to make money, is it fun?

Or not?

Fun? most of the time.
I go to different places every day, see different things and meet different people. For me, it beats a small cubicle in a sea of cubicles.

HOLY SHITE, JUST WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN HERE?????1

I'm getting laney and we'll back......*rusumstrufumhumpfr*
