Do you bros deadlift?

Yes. In fact tonight is deadlift night.
 
Yup.. almost every Wed.. I do it as part of my leg workout.

The only thing that usually keeps me form them is sex beforehand.. seems to tweak my back too much.

yup, just deadlifted yesterday.
i sprained my back a while ago, pretty bad, and didn't deadlift for about a year at all so i just got back into it. i'm hoping within a year i'll be close to 300. not great at all, but with my back, i'd be happy.

The most I've done is 345 for 2 which sucks I know.

Anyway what grip you all use? When I'm going heavy I have to use a mixed grip (no straps) and just switch my hands each set.

over/under- same grip every time.
 
I started doing deadlifts this year. I use a normal overhand grip but on my last set yesterday my left hand just let go as I straightened up. 320 pounds went crashing to the floor from waist-height but it was my last rep, anyway. I'm going to have to start practicing with a mixed grip.

These things can be arranged.

I deadlift every week if possible, sometimes with work I am stuck somewhere with no gym.

Right now I am working on form and grip strength. I can do 405 with both hands over pretty easy, trying to work up into the 500's without having to use a mixed grip. Monday I pulled 500 for one with mixed grip and no belt, when I feel better about my form I'll go up. Most I have rack pulled (from just below knee level) is 705 for one and 675 for four.

Alright I can handle you not deadlifting as much, I can even handle you wanting to be prissy and dropping 50lbs for mobility, but for fucks sakes the Pac 10? I figured you for a Big 10 kind of guy.

I will start again when I can't lift at least 200kg (440lbs) for one rep.

Deadlifts rock!

Haven't been able to do them the last couple of months though, due to a piriformis injury. :(

First time in a few years that the scabs are on my shins are finally healed.

i miss them now that you remind me.

i worked up to 355 for a 1rm without much trouble, and was still making progress
but then i buggered off like a donkey and stopped working out. 405 was a close
goal of mine, because i wouldn't consider my numbers worth shit until i broke that.

deadlifts are teh win.

i'll be back.

jackangel i spend a huge ass load of time just working on form and my stride then just running

longest distance i run is 1500 meters and that includes training for one too. need to safe my body

here is a real basic outlay of someones training and whats it all about

most my life i always did track and field. was badass at the decathlon and then decided to go just for the discus (always scored a ton of points with that event) so got alll swole and big and realized it wasnt for me couldnt handle the big boys .. took some time off school and shit also got my shit togather in my life (i got quite a bit of eligiblity left in the NCAA) and back doing it again

pittbullstl i meant sqaut and deadlift combined 4 times a week :) dbol back pumps? never had a problem for me (well it was my first and only cycle ever and only 25 mg ed so i really didnt get too many)

if u want a badass single train for one with assistant work

do a lot of
good mournings
revervse hypers
heavy bent over barebell rows
roman chair movements for your core (russian twists are awsome for that)

get pissed off on that platfrom when u lift :)

aggrression can move quite a bit of iron :)

pole vault is one of my better events .
id kill to score a 900 points everytime
best ever points earned was 941 with a mark of 5.1 meters


worst event by far long jump and hurdles
 
5.1 is pretty good

do you mind me asking waht school?
decath is a beast, trying to throw after runs and jumps can be very humbling.....
