Sq and dl went up considerably, but bench lagged. Not enough assitance tri and shoulder work. Hard to tell how overall effective it was, bouncing back to forum after a broken foot and all. Back to westside training for 8 weeks, then possibly back to the 3*3 scheme, with some added tri and overhead assitance

damn sorry about the foot...
glad you saw some progress on it..you know there prolly isnt one style or routine thats absolutely perfect for an individual..you need to be smart enough to realize what you need to do to tweak it for yourself..its all about learning

how many times do you read an article from wsb thats says we dont do deadlifts? well shit my dead form is in the toilet from not pulling but if you look at the logs on EFS you see that they pretty much do full pulls each week..so for this second 12 week phase im going to be doing a lot more deads and i dont think ill ever not pull :)

I dl once every 2 weeks, before speed squat. totally agree with form going to shit, plus heavy weight feels super heay. gotta train the movement at least once every 2 weeks.

After my 3*3 experience, I am starting to believe that the best way to train for the squat is doing squats. Alot of the assitance work in westside training seems unnesscary. but who the fuck am I. whenever i veer off a program and ad-lib my own exercises it doesn't seem to work.

Thanks, I am hoping in the next year or so to get up to around 700. Just need to shore up some form issues and put the work in.
