Do these work?

define buffing up? Putting on muscle?

You'll probably do it very leanly if your starting serious weight training for the first time, so I wouldn't worry about that. Especially at a lower BF %.

Acne, I used to use that proactive wash with a face cloth to get off dead skin (just the wash, not all the other crap)... that helped alot... also, a light moisturizer. No, it's not metrosexual, it helps if you have acne to be a barrier to crap getting in your pores through the day... your skin will thank you.

A Multi vitamin and extra antioxidant vitamins may help as well, but i'd try the above first.

To directly answer your question: I don't know if they work I have not tried them. I have used AnaFit's Green Tea and they work great as an antiox and a bit of a thermo.
 
I'm not here to convince you, you'll do what you want.

Some pills can really help out there, I don't know if that's one of them.
 
Ok ok. I think I might try it out though...seeing as it doesn't cost much, and it has ALOT of positive feedback. The only problem is I go to a dermotologist, and maybe he'll see that I'm taking this and tell my parents and then they'll be pissed at me. And if I ask my parents, they'll definatley say NO. Maybe I should just add 8oz of green tea to my diet to keep my weight down. New Question too!

There's no magic pills out there, reduce your calorie intake and eat good clean calories, do cardio, lift, and you'll lose weight.
 
Ok, thanks for the help guys...I think I'll just stick to green tea and drink plenty of water...that's seemed to have worked fine so far.
