You have changed the subject. I quoted your saying that punishment is not an effective method in dealing with crime. "Putting someone through hell" is not a crime.
Blowing up buildings = a crime.
McVeigh was punished (he was executed)
He hasn't blown up anymore buildings.
Less crime. Proof that punishment works.
Don't blame the death penalty for the public and the victim's families hell - blame our carebear judicial system.
