Wow. Didn't know the guy, but my condolescenses are with you and his family. That's some pretty f***ed up shit.

sorry bro,,, and I agree I dont know why anyone would use dnp,,, it can make your body temp spiral out of control and you may not be able to get it down,,, probably what happened to your bro.. Read up on this shit sometime, it is pretty scarey...

not sure if this is the same fella , but doggcrapp posted this on animal's forum , this fellow's name was john perry , here's the post from his friend :
"The autopsy left some unanswered questions. Johnny had an enlarged heart, traces of cocaine, oxicontin and sports enhancement drugs in his body. After Johnny came home from the 2002 WSM he told me he was going to get serious about his training and quit the partying. Johnny did not have a drug problem by any strtch of the imagination, he just liked to party and have a good time with his frinds. He loved to go clubing and hang out. He was scheduled to go to Finland the next morning and had a fear of flying so he took the downers to help himn sleep. His heart could not take any more and he died in his sleep of an apparant overdose. There is a memorial on the web for Johnny. You can guage what kind of a guy someone is by what is said about them by thier piers after they are gone. Kaz was at his funeral, need I say anymore? He is sorely missed by his friends and family. I miss seeing him at the gym. He was so incredibly strong he made heavy weight look light. I am sure he would have won the WSM in the next couple of years if given the chance. He was the best spotter I ever had. Backing out with 800 never felt safer than when he was there. See you soon big guy. "

to begin, my condolences. I could never imagine what his family/friends must be going through.
just an observation. if the above information is truly from an autopsy report, from what did they attribute his death to dnp? This sounds more like a case of a kid who to everything and anything you put in front of him and his heart gave out. Could have has a history of heart problems in the family to begin with coupled with cocaine abuse and then taking things such as oxicontin which greatly lowers your heart rate and then it said he added in some sleeping pills/dowers before sleep which will also greatly lower you heart rate.
Only reason I bring this up is I had a good friend, otherwise healthy guy who liked to party and was always popping oxys coupled with valium – this was to take the edge off his cocaine high. He went to bed one night and his heart just stopped. 24 years old. From word of mouth around here, is death was a ghb overdose, which he did take on occasion. When people go hard for a long time and constantly strain their heart like this, sometimes it just stops.
Again, I do not mean any disrespect for the family of this young man. And I myself feel Dnp has no place in bodybuilding.

this guy knew what he was donning, he was a knowledgeable bro and a mod in a reputable board. DNP is not something to play with. its an explosive material. Hitler used to feed DNP to the Jew to keep them warm and cut the coast heating fuel, of course he also wanted them all to die.

It sucks when anyone loses their life for any reason but from the info you gave and this post last summer on other boards..there was NOTHING that was a concrete link to DNP. If you are dumb enough to use it without researching it first then that is on you. I have never had a problem and I will continue to use it until I do. I have lost friends to hunting accidents, boating accidents, car accidents and snow mobile accidents....does it mean that I shouldn't be involved with any of that stuff anymore? And if your Johnny is the same as the one posted about this summer, he had more recreational drugs in his system then I have ever tried in my life. I agree DNP should be used at low dosages and it has not been linked to ANY death and that is how I use it. To each his own. Be safe.
