DLs and weak upper back

I seem to be struggling with my DLs lately. It feels like my upper back is weak thru the movement, and I am starting to lose form (ie. shoulders hunching forward and back rounding a bit). my legs feels strong thou and they have always been bigger in comparison to my upper body (which I hate).

Should I reduce amount of lift in DL and concentrate on upper back movements?
 
maybe it's your form.

try thinking about flexing your ass and glutes through the movement then the lift might come more naturally.

or try stiff legs with a straight back to see if that can strengthen it.
 
just lighten the weight and work on your form. arch your back hard, stick your chest out.
 
thanks for all that. I do need to stretch my hams.
But the DL also seems to be taxing me hard lately, because they day after them my body and entire back are sored and tired as hell, even the back of my head gets sore and I get headaches. Is this just because its such a good exercise or something not right with me?
 
I've had that after a max effort on deadlift. One PR cost me the next day in bed with a migraine. I just put it down to CNS stress but I don't really know.
 
No not really, dont do anything for neck.
I dunno man but weights I used to handle ok before now feel like they weight a fukin ton....this started happeing when I went 5x5 I think. previously i was on 3x10 routine.
