dizziness on legs day

Anyone ever get dizzy on squat day before they feel like they've really killed their quads? Past few times i've had to tone down lifting towards the end NOT becuase of burning aching muscles and incredible fatigue but because of lightheadedness that came first. Anybody got any advice? I don't really know why its happening right now. I think im gonna go off the ephedra product im on for a bit but thats the only possible thing i can think to blaim it on.
 
1)Try not to hold your breath for long periods of time
2)Do everything in a rack

sorry that is all I got, i think it is an accepted occupational hazard...
 
yea thanks.. I do have a good powercage. I am more angry becasue i do squats first thing in my workout and it can ruin a workout if i am too dizzy for the leg extentions and other exercises. I have a good spotter and powercage so im sure if i faint it won't be the end of my lifting days!
 
If it were carbs or blood sugar or anything else generic, it wouldn't happen only when you are doing squats, so we can isolate it to having to do with that particualr exercise.

Do you use just the bar or do you have some sort of padding on the bar? I ask beacuse the bar alone and the position you are holding it on your back might be cutting of some circulation.

Also, the breathing properly during the exercise might be relevant as well.
