My brother is an electrical contractor and he has been somewhere in the disaster area since Wednesday. He called to check in this morning from somewhere around Biloxi. He is a Gulf War vet who has seen quite a bit of combat, and he feels like he is in a war zone once again. He said the ghetto thugs sit in lawn chairs in their yards or follow them around while they work on power lines, yelling at them to hurry up and calling them "honkies" and "crackers". They are exhausted from working around the clock and from the stress of working high above the ground, tethered to a pole while they worry about some crackhead shooting at them. He said he would like nothing better than to leave them in the dark and come home and let them restore their own electricity. Every man on his crew is carrying a gun, if someone shoots they will shoot back.
