Diet stagnation

Norman Bates

New member
It hasn´t happened yet and will probably take some more time until it will, but once my diet starts to stagnates:

-what can i do ,except T3 or DNP, to make it work again?
-is it sensible to make a break then of one or 2 weeks with cal. a little over what i need?
-am i concerned on something that isn´t going to happen?
My diet looks like that: 130 g Protein; <37 g CH; 130g Fat about 1800 cal;

It worked fine that far.

Don't have much to go on but that sounds a little low on the calories unless you are like 150 pounds. The only way to get past a plateau is to create a greater negative energy balance by more exercise, less calories or the addition of drugs(T3/ECA/etc..). However be aware that if you are already at a very low calorie intake then this may increase your LBM loss which is not an ideal situation.

If your calories are too low as I think they may be then you may have caused your metabolism to slow to a crawl. If the above doesn't work then you probably should take a break off of the diet for a few weeks to try and get it going again. I'd suggest adding calories slowly until you reach your BMR and then going slightly above it for a week or 2. If your metabolism is truely shot then going from 1800 calories instantly up to your BMR or higher you may get some fat gain.

Cutting your calories too drastically in the beginning will cause rapid weight loss at first, but will cause a plateau much sooner than normal. If you decide to take a break make sure you don't cut them so low again. Only take about 500 off of your BMR and go from there, only dropping them when you don't see change after a week or 2.
