did squats last

i kinda liked it.

leg press - 5x8-10
ham curl - 3x10
standing calf raise 5x8-20
hack squat - 3x8-10
stff leg deads - 3x8-10
seated calf - 3x10-12
squats - 12, 10, 8

then bis and forearms.

anyone ever try squats last??
 
I agree, too many movements IMO... I will say that I have done squats after leg press, before leg press, squats only etc.... I really dont know what order is best. From a safety standpoint, it makes sense to do leg press first to pre exhaust the quads which would translate too less wieght on squats. However, I wonder if one were to do high rep squats first, then very heavy leg pres if that meybe a better way to go. Who knows, its all good.

I'd never get through heavy squats doing them last. My routine is similar though

Squats 4x8 - 10
Leg Presses 4x8 - 10
SDLs - 3x8 - 12
seated hams 4x8 -12
standing calf 3x15
seated calf 3x15
 
I used to do squats last and they felt good, I could barely walk afterwards. Now I started doing them first, and I find my legs are extremely weak when going through the other exercises after I'm done with squats. Especially leg extensions, I can only do half the weight I normally could when I would end with squats. :(
 
i like doing squats last... on my light bench day, i'll do bench, heavy weighted chins, then finally squats. usually gets me really pumped for it.
 
I JUst wanted to try it becauSE MY LOWER BACK was sore from deadS, So i figure if i do them laST, I CAN still get a good work out with leSS weight and STREsS ON MY BACK.

i still got 275 for 8, SO, I WAs pretty happy :chomp:
 
I definetly due them first, too exhausted at the end...squatting is the money movement, so I want to have the most strength for it...
