did I read that the strength comes first, then the size ???

zottman curls are probally one of the best exercises for anyone to gain size on your arm. Focus on the other 2/3 of your arm the tricept. The more intense the better, Lots of drop sets and negatives to shock the muscle. EAt more usually its 15lbs to 1/2inch on the arm

ya you sound like me..... it is hard to keep my brachialis muscle from taking over during curls.. sometimes i can do another curl and my bicept is hardly pumped pisses me off .... do you ever have that problem???
 
I get a good pump, a GOOD pump.

today, I did - spider curls, wide grip straightbar curls, drop sets and db curls.
Got a great great pump.

What are zottman curls???

oh 14 not 17.... well if you are getting a good pump sounds good..
i was thinking 17 and some and you are not happy with half an inch..
..but know i understand
 
lean back on and incline bench (far back) and curl using dumbels, one arm at a time turning the wrist out. Arnold was famous for that
