The white thing is only partially a joke: world class speed helps, and it's not common in muscled up white boys unless you're a freak like Brian Urlacher. They usually like to see you 6'2" or better height-wise.

Not sports...but I wanted to be a professional ballerina...and was on track to do it...then I tore my achilles tendon and that was that.

You don't consider dance a sport?

Car wreck, fractured patella and torn ligaments on my landing leg.
One of my coaches said to another that I was "damaged goods" and over heard my father tell my mother that I would have been better of dead (in the accident).

Being thrown away was more painful then the damage to me knee and leg.

pro basketball player. i was 5'11" in the 6th grade, could touch the rim. i started dunking in 8th grade. my brother is 6'6" and i was sure i would be as tall as him. I was fast as fuck, state champion in track throughout jr. high and high school. i never grew again, i'm still 5'11". i had multiple college offers but i stayed around for a chick i had been dating since 7th grade, we broke up 1 year into college. i ended up getting a scholarship to a D1 2A team, cut my thumb almost completely off using a saw (they sewed it back on), and they didn't think i would be able to shoot again so i got my scholarship taken away. Pretty devistating, screwed me up for some time.
