Diabetes and Steroids

Soon to start first injectable cycle of steroids (sustanon/beastdrol). Just wondering are there any other diabetics here also taking or have taking injectable steroids?

Ive tried dianabol tabs before to see what my sugars would be and they were in the high 20's (that was without highering insulin dosage) with a moderadly high carb intake; around 80g of carbs per meal 5 to 6 times a day.

What will the difference be with the injectables?

I will have to completely cut out high GI carbs and the amount down to maybe 30/40g of say brown rice per meal or even lower per meal?

Then increase the insulin dose as to match to the the lower carb intake

Im not to keen on telling my diabetic nurse that I will be on steroids for a peroid

I'm Type 2 Diabetic and on Test Cypionate.
The Cypionate actually lowers my blood sugar.

I have to be careful that my Cypionate along with my Diabetes Meds doesn't lower my Bloid Sugar too much.

I'm not sure if there is a stand alone version of Eprocities on the PC but on the iPhone i have the application.
I just enter the drugs I use and it tells me about any conflicts.

The first warning was Cypionate lowering Blood Sugar and for me to keep an eye on the meds that I take that I don't go too low and I might have to re-adjust the dosage.

This may not apply to you since you are type 1 but it is common knowledge that Cypionate lowers BS as well as vigerous excersise.

This is no bull shit. I went hypoglycemic in the gym from test and glipizide. The weight all of a sudden got REAL heavy. Then the next thing I knew I had fallen on the bench and was just laying there. I couldn't get up. It really sucked. And my brain wasn't working very well so I could think "hey you are hypoglycemic." And to make things worse I was with my doc and he did nothing. I he didn't know I was taking testosterone but still he knew I was diabetic. Good help is so hard to get, and he is the head of the department. There are posters all over the ward with his picture on them.

Yes. Definately keep the right foods with you when you think you may need it. I used to have hypo fits even before I ever ran slin, which I do not do anymore. Since you already know the course just keep an even closer eye on things my friend. Goodluck.

interesting....i dont think im diabetic but when im on i feel like it i drink a shit load of water piss alot, brain slows down like my sugars low...ima get a dibetic kit n start watching my blood sugar
