dextrose or sugar question

Hey everyone I know it is real important to have either dextrose or some type of sugar after your workout with your protein. I dont really feel like buying any dextrose so I was thinkig of adding 1 or 2 glasses of grapejuice, orange juice, or cranberry juice to my post workout shakes for my insulin spike since there are simple carbs in them. Do yall think this is ok.
 
it should be okay,but dextrose is better.in ur other post u mentioned drinking milk post workout,not good cause it is low glycemic like at 45 or something which means almost no,or minimal insulin spike,and if ur taking regular or 2% milk thats bad also cause the fat in it will slow the absorbtion of the protien
 
of what you mentioned, grape juice would probably be your best bet, although dextrose would be better.
maltodextrin would also work, b/c even though its a complex carb it is still high glycemic index.
 
dextrose is your best choice for post workout
table sugar is also good
fruit juice have fructose, not the best type of sugar for an insulin spike
