Derm Won't Give Accutane

Bro's, any idea what to do? My acne is mild at times, but it then flares up to where it is an annoyance. He said no to Accutane and gave me shit ass topical creams. I'm in New Jersey, and I'd like to know if anyone is familiar with doctors that favor Accutane over treatments that don't cure acne. Thanks so much.

Accutain is seriously harsh shit, I can understand why some docs wouldnt want to give it. My derm made me try three diff types of antibiotics witch did nothing before i finally demanded to try accutain, Once he put me on it he didnt want me to stop for six months, and it did the trick.Remember Accutain is not a cure, its just a temp fix, and if you have a medical plan, you have the right to demand the service you want, you just have to be able to convince them. Try and request a new doc, see what they say.. Good luck!

I had to sacrifice my back once on a deca cycle and basically my acne was so bad the doc had no choice but to put be on accutane. Maybe run something that you know will break you out then off to the doc you go, then run only half of the prescription (just enough to ward off the acne) then you have extra's for juicing later on.

Accutane saved my life. I was put on 4 other types of meds, CleosinT, Purcagell, Tetracycline, and something I can't remember (Its been 7 years). I finally DEMANDED to be put on Accutane and the doc listened and I haven't had a zit since. Either make your doc give it to you or find another derm. Yes the sides are harsh but it is so worth it.

I had the same problem. In my docs words "accutane is kemotherapy for the skin" he would not give it to me. He put me on tazurac and tetracycline. Its helped a little but its not completely cured yet.
