delt shots.. how to aspirate??

when asperating, do you have to wait for bubbles to come up through the syringe? This is what I have always heard to do but when I do it, I have to pull hard as fuck to get any bubbles to come up. Would it be safe to say that if there is that much pressure when asperating, you dont have to keep pulling until bubbles go all the way through?

when bubbles show up that means it is properly aspirated. just watch and when u see bubbles you should be good, you dont have to pull so hard that bubbles float to the top, but it doesnt hurt to do so.

If you apply significant pressure when aspirating you should be fine.

If you're in a sizable vein blood will fill the syringe with just a little bit of pressure.

Watch closly right above the metal part of the needle and you should see small bubbles. It doesn't take much pressure to get them.

ok, all you need to do is just give the syringe a flick, you do not need to actullay pull back on it. if you are in a vein the pressure will draw the blood right up. if you give it a flick and no blood, then your good. doing delts is simple to aspirate. you dont need to see bubbles either.

Bad experience with shooting my own dealt...was having hard time to get the plunger down and before I knew it, the whole needle was in my delt. That was intense pain for the next 3 days. So now my wife does all my shots...she's in training to be a nurse so it's good practice for her.
