half life of decoanate ester is 9-11 days. so somewhere between 54 to 77 days. both the volume of oil and the volume of injection can affect this, as well as the site of injection. The greater the oil to steroid and greater the volume = typically extended metabolism. Site can affect levels esterases present, which can slow or accelerate cleavage.

site and bodyfat will also have effects on the "getting stuck" factor- though this area is not all that well explored.


as an interesting side note- did you know that humans and other animals make their own esterified steroids and store them in fat for when they are needed?

one wonders whether this may also happen with exogenous hormones like nandrolone... it certainly seems like a possibility...

That's "extremely" interesting................

I've always heard that weed can be detected for longer periods of time in individuals with higher than normal levels of fat.

Hey - does that mean if you are burning fat, and the fat cells are releasing their contents into the blood stream, then would they also release this "stored" esterfied steroid?

I am running deca @ 200mg/week and it's really helping my joints - they haven't felt this good in YEARS.

However; I can't stop thinking about Deca taking a year to leave the system, and seeing as I just entered into L.E. - I will always have to worry about AAS testing.

Am I overanylizing this?
Does anyone here avoid deca simply for the detection time?

tested athletes do, cops dont. i know of plenty of jacked cops running around,

I have a close friend in LE and he opposed go on deca after blowing out his knee because if he got into some situation where he shot somebody on duty he would probably be tested for juice or other controlled substances. But testing is expensive and as we all know police departments are notoriously under funded. They're not the International doping agency they have a budget. Unless the officer was under indictment or serious suspicion of using AAS then your probably be fine. Yeah it stays in your systen technically for 1 yr so you may consider using a faster acting test for a shorter cycle to cut down the risk time. Could try test500-1000wk & dbol 15mg-25mg daily for 4-6 wks instead-(alot stronger than a deca only by the way)
