My last day of work was wednesday, so yesterday I decided to wander around and play tourist. It's really really rare that we have nice weather during the cherry blossom festival - April in DC is historically gloomy and rainy. But yesterday was beautiful, warm, and perfect for toting my camera around and playing tourist.

Chalk this up to one of the few things I'll miss....this city is beautiful when it's in bloom.

I doubled my claratin dose and even then my eyes started getting a little irritated and I sneezed a few times. Trust me, I know what you're saying. I would have regretted not doing this at least once while I lived here, though.

On a side note I saw people yanking at branches and pulling flowers off and shit and I wanted to scream at them. You're not supposed to touch, assholes (you can actually be arrested for it if the wrong person sees you doing it, but it's really rare it goes to that level).

i'm thinking about buying a nebulizer, that's really the only thing that clears me up.
i almost need a purse for all this BS i have to carry around
i won't hijack anymore
:)

Good lookin photos. What kind of camera were you using?

Nice pics Nef. I've lived about 20 minutes south of D.C. my whole life and I still love to visit. Too bad your moving away, the area will miss you!

Nothin special....fujifilm finepix digital camera. I'd love to have a real camera that lets me play with the focus more....I'll probably invest in something in the next year and also get underwater houing for it.

a few years ago I would've been able to get you a helluva deal on that!

what kind of trees are those?

I got those everywhere in my backyard

Did you ever get that pool?

no i put it off... quotes were WAY higher than i had the funds for and now I am working on moving to Chicago. In the process of getting finishing school and getting a practice with a colleague that is established in the area

Those are cherry blossoms, you probably have dogwoods in your back yard, look is similar, cost is not, plus they aren't a native tree to the US, they were given to us by the Japanese in 1912.
