DB farmer walks...How much can u do

SuperShredder said:
ive done farmer walks like one time a year ago.
i did the 100s for fun, walked across the yard a few times, other than that ive never done em ,i dont even have enough weight to put on my db;s to make over 100 lbs so i guess it wont be happening anytime soon. although it sounds fun.
anybody know any ways to make a farmers walk thing without using db;s?

Dbells are harder. Where I work they have a record for dbell farmers. They walk 25 yards, turn, repeat, etc... They use the 100's and the best is 299 yards. They were allowed to bend down and rest them on their knees...but one basketball player went 245 without resting at all.

My best is 346's for 100' straight and 375's for 49'6"...both in training though. We will see on contest day.

I did 100 #'s each using Nate's new implements...they look very similar to Jokers. He posted up our numbers and distances on another thread--I didn't retain all the info!

My gym only has DBs up to 135lbs each. No idea how far I can walk with em, I usually do static holds instead of walks due to the dimensions of the gym.

Damn I need to move to Kentucky next summer and get crazy with Clint and the posse...lol (provided I'm not in H-town for the summer).

did farmers instead of static hold today. The farmers seemed to hit the grip a lot more. Im sure its cuz my grip has to counterbalance the moving and swinging action as i walk. Why are dumbells harder then the other equipment?

I have done 235lbs for a distance of 75 feet. . .I live out in the country.
