Dave Palumbo & his magazine RX Muscle

You've probably read my other thread about RX Muscle magazine, but if you did not, let me fill you in.

Everyone that I have talked to that subscribed to RX Muscle...is pissed! They all claim that the magazine takes forever to receive and after they get a couple of issues, then they get nothing for a very long time. This is ridiculous! It looked like it would be an excellent bodybuilding magazine with good AAS info packed in it.

I subscribed in October this year and they told me that it takes about 3 weeks before you'll receive your first issue. I've been waiting and waiting and nothing. I've e-mailed Dave Palumbo himself and got a few responses back. They always tell me that it's on the way. WTF!

The magazine's website is: rxmuscle.com

Check it out!

Don't worry bro...they are a new magazine just getting started. Dave and his crew are making some changes each issue to ensure that it is bigger and better each time. Keep supporting them, It is near impossible to launch a new magazine if you aren't going to give all the profit to the "big" 10 publishers.
These guys are doing it for us, there aint any money in it for them, believe me I know them personally. That mag will be awesome in a few months...hang in there.

Thanks bro! Sounds great!

My main concern is that I didn't get scammed. I'll just have to patiently wait it out.

If RX Muscle gets things running smoothly and efficiently, I truly think that it will be the most sought after bodybuilding magazine of all. I've heard good things about Dave Palumbo and his staff, and I'm anxious to receive my first issue.

It's not really that new. How long does it take... this isn't a good first impression if you ask me.

It sucks that the mag is delayed so long, but it sounds like that it has a lot of promise, considering that Dave P. is one smart sonofabitch.:)

Dave Palumbo is one of the smartest men in bodybuilding when it comes to the science of it. He knows a lot about anabolics, supplementation, and diet. If the Mag levels out to deal with things more professionally, then I'm sure it will be really good.

UPDATE ON MY ISSUE WITH RX

I just want to warn you guys about RX Muscle magazine and save you the hassle of dealing with them. I subscribed a couple of months ago and asked them when I would receive my first issue. They told me it would take about 3 weeks. I waited and nothing. I contacted them and they said that all my info was in the database and I should be receiving an issue in the next week. I waited and nothing. Since then I've e-mailed them a number of times and they always come back with, well, you're in the system and it's on the way. TODAY, they sent me an e-mail saying that I never subscribed in the first place. This is bullshit, b/c I subscribed via their website with a credit card and then they sent me a e-mail back with confirmation that the credit card was charged $24.95 for a one-year subscription. Why did they tell me that I was in the database before and everything was fine? And now they're saying that I never subscribed. Anyway, I contacted my credit card company & took care of that.

WARNING - RX Muscle magazine still doesn't have it together and you probably should think twice if you're thinking about subscribing to this magazine. They just don't have their shit together and they must be having some kind of problems with money or something.

in the mean time, just subscribe to penthouse. I get good arm pump results with it..LOL..

I agree bro...They don't have their shit together, however I still think that once they get over hte humps of starting a new mag. that it will be awesome.

One thing you may not know...It is expensive as hell to start a new magazine. If you are going to have credible authors, a good layout, and quick service...you're tlking a rather large staff. As you know Dave is a smart motha, however he still needs writers and a staff and he is fronting the money for the magazine out of his pocket, not very lucrative right now.

I a sense he is doing it for his fans, not for money. He won't make money until he has the mag in airports, grocery stores ect. He needs to have the printing slates etc.(Big Bucks).

So I would still give him some slack...I am still supporting him, I want this thing to work. It is still money well spent in my mind, even if I have to wait months for an issue. Also remeber I think it is only 8 issues per year, not 12.

Shit, Palumbo was taking subscriptions at the Arnold Classic 2 years ago! I dont know how many issues he has put out-or conversely, how many issues those initial subscribers have gotten.
Stay away!
