If you have a genuine physical problem or heavy discomfort with the bar across your back when squatting that is distracting you from focusing on your squat then I`m sure it is a worthy piece of equipment that will insure you to continue to squat.
Anything that can keep someone squatting is worth its weight in sweat and gold ..................
Sometimes all that is needed is a small folded up towel or a pussy pad around the bar to ease any bar meets skin discomfort.
Of course if you have a shoulder problem then a towel or pussy pad will be useless.
