Damn Lactic Acid

On my leg days i usaully do 25 reps for everything. So the build up is pretty bad, I walk around my neighborhood for 30-45 min after leg days. it seems to help me

I can't do more than 6-8 reps for anything before I experience a MASSIVE burn and complete stop. I want to avoid this. How???

get better conditioned.

or drop the weight you are doing.

also are you breathing correctly and are you eating complex carbs before your workout? i'm talking brown rice, sweet potato.

Indeed! I love going heavy though. I like to feel the heavy ass weight. I love to feel the pump. I don't get that going light and doing a lot of reps.

You get better pumps from squeezing and contracting the muscle harder. Not reps/lifting heavy really. So try taking the weight down! Squeeze and contract the muscles harder for pumps. Is it really lactic acid if you get it right after 6-8 reps? Never heard of it kicking in that fast

Its not about doing light weight for a lot of reps.. Pick a moderate weight that yu can rep for 12-15 but struggle a lil with while keeping good form

I guess it isn't then. LOL Perhaps it just the heavy ass weight. And the pumps that stops me.

Haha possibly man! Try switching it to high reps and see if you get the same feeling

Im the same exact way bro, I will be busting out heavy weight for 6 reps then BAM 7th rep is almost impossible to get up, my right arm is struggling more than my left arm, and I have to stop at 7. And in my head I was thinking around the 4th and 5th rep "OK fuck yea Im gonna do 10" this is so annoying bro, but I dont ever train more than 6-8 reps, 10 reps if its curls. Everything I do is between 4-8 reps, so my body is conditioned that way.

Also, your body may genetically be more predominant in fast twitch fibers. I know if you work at it, you can convert them to slow twitch, but it sounds like ur like me and it is just way easier to do heavy weight rather than something for 12 reps. IDK what to tell you, I would maybe keep the core lifts to low reps and all the supplementary lifts in the 10-12 rep range and see if it correlates back to your core lifts?

20 mins of Cardio and a good 30 mins in the sauna always takes care of lactic acid for me... I get buildup really bad in my shoulders... Make sure you drink like a bandit if your using a sauna...

And you look like the type that does rep after rep after rep after boring rep. LOL

I do heavy ass weights. That's my thing. I just can't seem to go past 8 reps. No worries brother...I do maintain proper form. I aint no jerker or swinger.

Yeah wtf is the reason for a suana? Never understood that shit. I used to do it like 10 years ago. Sure it sucks all the water right out of you. Making one look leaner. But for how long? An hour or two? Not to mention that when you come out of there you feel like total ass! And being in there I CANNOT breathe.

I think sauna probably helps with recovery which would ultimately lead to better gains, but yea you gotta drink more water for sure and I never did it to get leaner as I always have been lean my whole life

My avatar is a pic of a guy who juices lol nah but I have the same problem as you, I lift heavy ass weight for low reps because its way easier than to try and do something for 8-12 reps. I dont do rep after rep thats for sure lol I need to because when I do, I am dying. I am actually about to start doing my core lifts heavy and every other exercise in the 10-20 rep range and I will let you know how it goes, Im prepping for another cycle

I have one, and love it ,however don't think you're going to loose all that water, ....not going to happen, the body has a way of regulating water intake / outtake

drink lots of water around the day, stay hydrated (at least 1 L of water during your workout) and get some taurine
