Well, I switch up my cardio yesterday am and today am.......before I was doing 35 minutes of incline walk at about 75% max....

I switched to HITT for 35 minutes....well 1st and last 5 were a light walk......anyways, I would ramp the incline about 4 notches...start at 6mph for 1 minute....go to 7.5 for 1 minute and puke, errrr.....sprint at 8.5 for 30sec - 1 minute.......then back down to 4.0 to walk..........for one minute......is this insane? Yesterday I felt awesome....today I feel like I can't lift in 5 hours.....drained...too much? too often?

What is your goal?

I don't quiet get the HIIT thing. This is where you run really hard and then lift weights at the track? Who wants to carry weights to the track?

No, it's high intensity interval training......cardio......it's getting your HR up near max, sustaining for a brief period, and then recover.....try 1-2 minute cycles....jog, sprint, walk, jog, sprint, walk........

i walk at a 6mph incline, how the hell do you jog at one? btw, i am only 5'1 as well to boot!

btw i'd expect you to be taller than me, so walking at 4mph is snail pace.

I am having a hard time understanding your psot - the timing of the workouts. Are you doing HIIT everyday?

HIIT shuld NOT be done on consecutive days. Treat it like weights - do not do on back-to-back days. At the most, true HIIT should done no more than 3x/wk. Also, refuel yourself afterward as you would a weight workout.

HIIT is best done on alternating days from weights.

Is it okay to do low intensity cardio on weight days in am if you are lifting in pm, and then do HIIT on off lifting days?
