Daddy, daughter relationships?

Parenthood opens you up to more feeling and more love-pain than anything else I can think of......it gets a little less painful when your kids are older and don't "need" you so much.....but it never ever goes away. My hubby sometimes talks about another kid (my kids are 15 and 13 now, btw), but I have to say one of the major reasons I don't want another one is because I just don't think my heart can handle all of that raw emotion again. It's awesome.....it's a life-changing experience.....but all of that love can be brutal! :)

My daughter is two and she has me wrapped around her little finger. I hope it never changes....I love every minute of it

this is a great thread. il keep my negativity and perversion out of it <3

love for all the good fathers on EF

im def closer to my father than my mom. Both are awesome parents! hopefully you and your daughter will stay close(er) as she gets older!

Hoping for the same thing when I have a baby.

My wife and I have adopted her niece 3 uears ago. Poor girl never even met her father. I was skeptical but, I couldn't see a child being thrown into foster care from her own family. Anyway, it's been three years now, she has just graduated high school and plans on college this fall. We have bonded closer than I would have ever thought possible. All I can say is, they still melt your heart when they are older.
