beat me to it big boy!thx for tracking me...you're like a good "pain in the ass",because you're following me and i must stick to it.day 1,was excellent!!!the 13-15 rep killed me,right from the beginning.i trained back(deadlifts)/chest(inc bench press)/biceps(bb curls)/calves(stand.calf raises).AWESOME!!!this morning,i am sore as hell and i am supplementing w/ high doses of creatine and glutamine to prepare myself for today.i've got drive though because i want to make this one work for me...in addition,it helps to know YOU'RE WATCHING.I WILL POST B4 AND AFTER PICTURES AFTER 9 WEEKS(NOW I TOLD YA...DAMN...YOU'LL BE CHECKING ME).THX FOR SPOTTING BRO.

I got my eye on you. Of course by the time you read this you will be done with Day 2 and you will be SORE!!!! It will get worse before it gets better, but it will get much better.
I posted some recovery techniques that were in the book here you go if you haven't read them on the other post;

The program also recommends some post workout techniques to aid in recovery.
#1 Six minute low level "cool down" session- NOT AEROBICS!!! The function of the cool down session is to quickly recover the ATP stores within the muscle. (Such as a light bike ride, stairmaster or even a brisk walk.)

#2 Post-workout recovery massage- The book includes a very detailed chapter on recovery massage for each bodypart. No way for me to post this.

#3 Cold and Hot Alternating Shower- This technique consists of alternating cold-hot showers to be performed after a workout in the following sequence; COLD-HOT-COLD-HOT-COLD (cold/30seconds--hot/1minute)

SO FAR I'M SORE BUT I'M FORCING MYSELF,AS YOU STATED.I'M ALSO ENJOYING THE "FORK CURL" AS YOU CALL IT.I'M ON 4000 "CLEAN CALS"/DAY--10 MAELS/DAY.I BELEIVE THIS AND TONS OF PROTEIN CREATINE/GLUTAMINE ARE HELPING W/ RECOVERY,IN ADDITION,I AM LOOKING FULLER THAN EVER.MY MUSCLES ARE MAINTAINING THE "PUMP" LOOK ALL THRU THE DAY.DID YOU EXPERIENCE THIS AS WELL...THIS PROGRAM IS HARD BUT I BELEIVE THAT IT WILL PAY OFF BIG TIME.I'M ALSO SWEATING A WHOLE BUNCH...GOOD SIGN.I'M SURE THAT MY BF WILL DROP ON THIS ONE AS WELL.THX FOR ASKIN' BRO...I'LL BE WAITING FOR YOUR NEXT "SPOT"...WHENEVER THAT IS,I'LL BE READY.

You know when I used the program there Creatine wasn't being used...prehistoric huh? Plus I was still in high school so I didn't know much about nutrition, nor did I have a large supplement budget.

I must ask you to post your current stats; that way we have something to compare to. Also that way I can make some diet suggestion. What is your current Pro/Carb/Fat ratio?

I personally would not worry about cutting during the first six weeks. You must focus your body ONE goal. For now the goal should be to put on LBM. After six weeks your body should be caught up, and you won't be sore. Then you can add some cardio and drop the cal a "LITTLE". Personally I wouldn't do cardio for the first six weeks. Good Luck!!

hey hanni,what's up partner?i hope everything is well for ya!!!what a week of training to say the least.is it possible i've grown in a week?i appeared full and pumped all week long on this program.is this normal?i respected the resting time and hit the prescribed # of reps for all exercises that i chose.i was sore as hell though...sunday i recuperated and i beleive i can deal w/ the soreness as long as i stay in tune w/ my nutrition.i upped my calorie intake by an additionnal 150 cals this week and continue the creatine/glutamine stack.so far so good and it looks so promising as far as the results i'm looking for.i totally beleive that i will gain maximum muscle mass and drop bf while on serious growth program.i'm eating large amounts of food but still appear to be lean lookin bro...can't wait for todays day 1 all over again.i'm psyched.thx for the follow up hannnibal.

Glad to hear that everything is on track. Just wait till next week...can you say new wardrobe.

You can mix and match depending on your schedule. For example, if you can only train one time per day during the week, but have the time to train three times per day on the weekend, you can start workout number one on Tuesday instead of Monday. This allows you, on Saturday and Sunday, to switch to variant three and perform the fifth and sixth day workouts on the three time per day program (variant 3).

The only requirement for switching is that you stay in the same corresponding phase. If you are in phase two in variant 1, when you switch to variant three, you must switch to variant 3 phase two.

As for my lifting, I've got a meet coming up on May5th so we'll see. I'm looking at;
SQ610 B420 DL585 I'll be competing in the 198's so right now I'm trying to make weight without losing strength...kinda tricky.

Anyway maintian your focus. You are about to hit a very nice growth spurt. Then when you do you can go back to the guys that were questioning you and "SHOW" them that it works. Then I'll have to help them too...dammit

o.k. clothes are not getting tight;that's because i've already shopped and got xxl sweaters and very loose sweatpants.jeans...that another story.can't get my legs to fit thru the damn things.i'm weighing in at 215#'s at the moment and starting phase 2.i'm eating 4450 cals at this point w/ same ratios as above.hey it's workin'...why change?creatine/glutamine and tons of protein powder w/ every meal is still a part of my diet.i have added 3 days of light cardio to help myself w/ added weight gain.i want to start phase 2 w/ bang...i miss lower reps.beleive it or not,13-15 reps killed me...i love lifting heavier weight w/ lower reps and therefore phase 2 should be more pleasant,as far as lactic acid is concerned.once again,compound movements are the majority here to maximize overload.so far so good BIG BOY.biggest improvements thus far,have been wider back,maintained waist(due to clean diet),bigger arms,shoulders,legs and TES...CALVES!!!in addition,i can still see my abs(although it is a 4-pack at this point),so additionnal bf is kept to a minimum.thx for your help bro...always appreciated.

for last week...mr.strength is back!!!i missed him.i'm kicking some major weight around and i can visibly see what this program is doing to me.it seems every week,something is growing and looking fuller than b4.diet is a big part though and must be immaculate to ensure your body always has energy to survive this program.without proper nutrition,you will fail this program miserably,as my training partner felt weak on this program and withdrew...very happy right now w/ program and will continue to advise on progress...!!!

I AM PRESENTLY FOLLOWING THE SERIOUS GROWTH PROGRAM BY LEO DA COSTA.THIS WAS INTRODUCED TO ME BY MY MAN HANNIBAL.IMO,THIS PROGRAM WORKS BECAUSE YOU ARE CONSTANTLY "STRETCHING" AND "POUNDING" ALL MUSCLES 3 X WEEK.IT'S BRUTAL,BUT W/ A SERIOUS LOOK INTO NUTRITION AND CONSISTENCY,YOU CAN GAIN TONS OF MASS...I STARTED OUT NATURAL,BUT HAVE ADDED SOME D + W TO THE MIX.THE RESULTS ARE ASTONISHING.17 LBS IN 2 WEEKS.HOLA!!!I WILL CONTINUE TO POST ON THIS PROGRAM FOR ALL INTERESTED AND WILL ALSO FOLLOW UP W/ B4 AND AFTER PICTURES.SEE YA!

wuz up partner?program is working so well,i don't even recognize myself anymore and neither do my friends.:D
i am presently weighing in at 226 lbs and have gained an inch on my waist,which is nothing compared to the weight i have gained.i feel huge at this point;for me anyways!!!i will maintain my calorie intake @4700 cals...i have obtained the size surge i was lookin for and will start cutting soon,as i have a show coming up in september and would like to look razor sharp...the "d" and "w" are workin' great w/ the program...very mild dosages by the way.i have noticed a huge increase in size in my arms,shoulders,back and legs(always had good legs though).nutrition is the key w/ this program though as i have had another partner drop out...too brutal of a program if you don't feed the MACHINE.my goal now,is to obviously lean out @ approx 200 'CLEAN' POUNDS.I WILL BE HAPPY THEN.FYI

PS:HOW WAS THE MEET ON MAY 5TH???RESULTS?

As for my meetI had projected SQ610 B420 DL585, and that's pretty much what I got. Tried for 625, but the weight got out over my feet. I'm planning on competing in Decemeber..and I'll be competing in the 275's probably. So I have a lot of work to do. I am presently 240. Anyway glad to hear you are doing well.
 
good work on the meet...but...you were competing in the 198's???and now 275's...for goodness sakes bro...what in god's name are you planning on eating!!!???:) :confused:
 
Actually I never got down to 198. Since my comp was just a practice meet it didn't really matter what I weighted in at. After talking to several successful lifters I have decided that at my height (6'3") I need to compete in the 275 or higher. It's just a simple matter of leverage. Besides while I was dieting I was on a Keto so when I came off I put back some water...water=strength.

As for what I'm planning on eating...EVERYTHING!! Seriously though I probbly will only compete in the 242's in December...but the 275's aren't far off. I'm not planning on using powerlifting as an excuse for being a fat ass. So as long as I can carry the weight well I don't mind being that heavy...besides I want to lift THE BIG WEIGHT.

Anyway keep up the training and keep updating...Later
 
sorry for the delay...been working like a dog @ work and in the gym...well,the zone diet is finally tuned in and already i am noticing i'm looking bigger at a bodyweight of 218...abs are already visible.caps on shoulders are looking beautiful...i'm soooo happy about that!vascularity is visible as well...happy w/ progress at the moment and feel that this time i will hit my goal of 200 ripped to the bone ...yeah baby!:)

ps:just watching my body's progress is freaking me out and keeping my motivation sky high.haven't had a cheat meal in weeks...which is truly something to brag about for me...i usually fold when it comes to the loveable whopper...but my love handles are thanking me for not folding.i have also added 4 sessions of cardio(jog/sprint) to really rip up.
