Cutting isnt working...

ive been trying to drop fat for the past month now on a new cutting diet, and its just not working. ive weighed between 215 and 220 now for the past 2 months and its starting to piss me off. im bout ready to just starve myself til i drop bodyfat way down. im just about out of ideas, i really have no idea what to do. any suggestions?
 
breakfast: 3 whole eggs, 1 glass milk, 1/2 cup oatmeal
lunch: protein shake
after school: 3 whole eggs, protein shake
post workout: some sort of meat, some sort of green veggie, protein shake mixed with fat free milk

sometimes before bed ill eat 3 more eggs too

i do cardio 4 days a week, lift 3 days a week.

If I were your body, I'd be holding onto the fat for dear life too!

My first thought when I read that line was "he's probably already starving himself"!

For all the activity you've got going, that's not a lot of food for a young man like yourself.
 
need more food to cut. You might have slowed down your own metabolism by eaing so little food.

This is another way, keep the ame amount of fat and just get so much lean body mass your bf% has to go down
 
I'm a woman (read: inherently fat) and I cut on about 2000 calories a day spread over 6-8 meals.
 
body adpats to diet just like it does with training, change it up.

Ie boost the calories back up and then go back down again

20 to 30 pounds!? holy shit, that would take forever. and i dont know a thing about bulking diets, care to help me out. if i can get on a steady bulking diet, i would really have no quams about starting one now, ive lost weight in the past and i think i can do it again, and easier, if i bulk first.
 
but it still stands, i dont know how to bulk. like what would a daily meal plan look like? how many cals would i need to eat? would i need more carbs? more protein?

Lee, I use the carb cycling tactic for cutting to bulk too. Helps me put on size while keeping fat in check. You have to be willing to put on some fat, but you don't have to go overboard with it either. I'll post a link to my bulking diet later, unless someone beats me to it. :)
 
Lee: I have been following a "diet" plan that Hansel posted up in the Diet board for 2wks now. It is a very moderate approach (which I like), and it has been working WONDERS so far. I have definitely dropped bodyfat, yet Im still getting stronger every week. I wouldnt necessarily call it a cutting diet, but it is a healthy approach that has resulted in me getting quite a bit leaner while still maintaining the muscle mass I busted my ass to get. I just time my carbs as best as I can, make sure Im getting in enough protein and fats, and train hard in the gym. So far everything seems to be falling in place rather nicely. You may want to check it out. Hansel suggest doing cardio in combination with this diet, but I have stayed away from cardio and Im still seeing good results. Granted, any change from the way I used to eat would probably result in me leaning up, but it is a nice set up Hansel has and I have been feeling much better all around. Good luck.
 
I am doing what Christian Thibaudeau did to lose fat, following what he did as closely as possible, only been doing it for 5 days now so haven't checked progress and probably wont till 4 weeks in.

Whatever your aims are don't give up, never give up, when you get disheatened give yourself a kick in the ass and carry on. Of course if something doesn't work for you then you'd best change something, people here always give kosher advice I read as much as possible.
 
look man if you're gonna keep cutting, i would A) ditch the milk and B) eat more meats and veggies. Also look into incorporating a refeed day atleast once a week, head over to http://avantlabs.com and read up on leptin. Refeeds are golden imo and fun too. DO NOT starve yourself, you'll
lose more muscle while not greatly affecting the Body Fat%
 
i try to go clean during week and crazy during the weekends

klondike bars, padthai, bacon cheeseburgers

definatly gotta eat more

i thought you wanted to be scaryhuge?

bulk ! at least in moderation

its no fun losing muscle
 
yea i would like to be scary huge, but i really dont know how to approach bulking. i think ill just start eating more and more and just get bigger

whatever you do, if you get injured and can't lift (hopefully never happens) DON'T keep eating like you're bulking. i know, it's pretty much common sense but i was making great gains (muscle), did this, and then made great gains in fat %

but yea, starting today, fuck cutting, im gonna get huge
 
I know what you're feeling. I seem to constantly be switching from cutting to bulking and while I'm getting stronger and gradually bigger, my body composition is stagnating as a result. It is a tricky situation.
 
im gonna be bulkin for a while, im too small for being 6'5". i only weigh 217, i should be around 240 or 250. i used to weight 250 but i had a lot more fat, im gonna be puttin on max muscle on this diet.
 
You are making the right move Lee, at 18 you should be able to make awesome gains so why waste these years on trying to cut. A bulking diet is not rocket science, You don't need a meal plan other then eat alot of good food everyday. When I make a meal I just think Protien and carbs....eg, one of my favourate meals is a 425 gram tin of tuna mixed with a pack of cheesy packet pasta like maccaroni and cheese.

Your current meal plan needs major change.

The main problem with your current meal plan is that your not eating enough real food. Every break you get at school eat something, there is a big gap from breakfast to your after school meal that no real food is being consumed. I can't tell you what to eat and when to eat it because I have no idea of what suits you, no one but yourself can make up a bulking diet that will fit into your day to day life other than you, all that can be done is a guide.

Make sure every meal you eat has a good amount of protein in it, try to fit in 5 solid meals per day, top that off with 2 shakes, one after your workout and one before bed. Remember that carbs are essential for building muscle. Don't worry about counting the grams of carbs and protein you eat, you shouldn't have to worry about that because every meal your making your thinking "protein and carbs" Your body will be shocked into growth considering the miserable amount of food you have been eating lately. Bulking is just that "bulking", so eat till your heart's content, and
GROW!!!!
