cutting diet opinions

i've asked before and i did a CKD diet for only 2 weeks. i was having a few problems getting my goals straight so i stopped and switched back to strength training. now i realize i REALLY have to lose a bit of fat.


now i know like 99% of this board is CKD fanatics, but i've heard conflicting opinions as far as CKD being a bodybuilder's cutting diet. my main goals would be to MAINTAIN mass and lose fat, as fast as possible. it's VERY important to keep nearly all the lean mass i have gained. on a CKD, i was sluggish and slow and workouts definately suffered.

should i go 40/30/30 or 50/30/20 or CKD? any bodybuilders here?
 
for me it usually takes about 2 weeks for my body to adjust to not having carbs....stick with the CKD for at least 4-6 weeks and you will see a difference, and prob won't be disappointed with your results.
 
i saw an old one in the archives that included:

maintenence cals - 500

1g/ lb LEAN mass bodyweight

rest of cals from fat.


any ideas how this would work?
 
im following an old one mr. x posted.

i'm in high school and we have gym class monday-friday. I REALLY DONT WANT TO LOSE ANY MASS. i'm guessing i should half-ass whatever i can?


also, would creatine benefit me on a CKD?

how many mg's of ALA should i take per carb-up meal?
 
I am running a 40/30/30 as Mr. X advised. I had mentioned I did not want to do a CKD as I hate feeling slugish. I am not exactly sure what works best on the 40/30/30 as far as when to eat what but I have been eating very clean with 1 cheat day where I eat 1-2 cheat foods. Some people have said that they can run this diet and eat whatever they want as long as they keep track of calories and stay under their maintenance. I'm not sure that would work for me. I am running 2200 cals a day but I am not seeing fat loss yet, have been cutting for about 2 weeks. I may have to go lower.
