fri and sat off (hockey games)

sun - back and biceps (slightly diff routine).

just looking for some criticism. during the summer i plan on maybe doing a cycle so i want to get as strong as possible before then.

in the summer i plan on going 5 days.

mon - chest
tues-back
wed-legs
thurs-shoulders
fri-arms

thanks in advance.

if you want to get strong try a more advanced routine. I dont know how long youve been traniing but ive seen great results from a westside routine with some slight modification ( sport specific lifts and oly lifts )

if i worked out legs during the season i think i would die. as it is i already lack energy. we skate 5 days a week its pretty intense.

you've got me on the diet part. i actually dont worry about my diet bc i burn off so many calories everyday even if i didnt workout i dont think i would gain weight. its so hard being a student and working out and playing hockey. 6 meals is impossible. time is crammed as it is. i eat a lot but i dont think im eating clean enough.

I would definitely try to work legs a little. Because you skate so much you don't have to work them too intensely BUT still work them, they will do wonders for your leg strength and endurance while skating.

I don't think it's a absolute must that you get on a strict diet, BUT the least you can do is try to eat as clean as possible.

Chest day-- take out flat db press & put in flat BB bench.

Back day-- are those rows (seated row/upright row) on cable??? Id switch that out for all free weight exercises...bentover BB rows/ one armed db rows... & hit deadlifts on back day.

wheres yer shoulder work???

And I would re-work it-- Mon- chest, Tues-back, Wed-arms, Thurs-Plyos, Fri/Sat- your games, Sun-Rest.
