I remember in high school it was recommended to pre-load creatine for the first 5 days. It is ten years later now, is this still the protocol?

It's protocol, but its debated, in my opinion, and experience yes if you preload you will see faster results BUT it is the only time i have seen sides from creatine. Sides were mild during loading but because of the water intake you must have with 20-30g's a day you may have some stomach cramping bloating ect. Make sure your stuff is micronized man and add some protein glutamine and your ready for some dramatic results!

I stopped preloading a good while ago when I take my creatine and really havent noticed any difference then when I use to preload. It might be that I have been taking creatine so long that preloading doesnt make a difference anymore .....

You always need to pre-load creating unless it is in Liquid form. That's what makes liquid creatine expensive. It's better than micronized creatine in that you don't need a loading period.
