Crazy Plan

Tater Salad

New member
I got a question for some of the more experienced guys who know their shit. (unlike me) I have this lifting plan...tell me what you think. I'm afraid I might be overtraining.

Monday : Chest and Shoulders
Tuesday : Back and legs
Wednesday :Bi's and Tri's
2 days off
Saturday :Chest and shoulder superset
Sunday : Back and leg superset
Monday : bi and tri superset

Then Tuesday right back to normal chest and shoulders, and the cycle starts over. Is that the craziest thing y'all have ever heard?

I dont know my shit as you put it, but man that seems like a big gap there for two days.

what's wrong with the two days off? most people that use a five day split, end up taking the sat and sun (2 days) off. i dont see any problem with the split. the tuesday (when your split would start back up) your tri's will still be a little sore, and this could affect some of your workout. but this all depend on how much you work them the day before. you might be a little better off switching the back/leg day around with the tri/bi day.

IMO the whole body part training thing is fucked.
your training each bodypart more than once a week which is good,
but really man the difference in what body parts go on what days or what order the days go in etc, isnt going to have a huge impact.

Why not try
Upper body
Off
Lowerbody
Off
Upper body
Off
Lower body

Or even
three full body sessions 3x a week.
Build each day around compound movements, and if you feel you need more then throw in some accessory work.

or try

Day 1: Power training
Rest
Rest
Day 2: Lowerbody hypertrophy
Day 3: Upperbody hypertrophy
Rest
