Cover story at work for gyno/lipo surgery time off & wearing the compression garments?

Okay...just had lipo which got rid of my man-boobs and love handles. I took off of work the last half of the week without much notice, and there will be questions from my employees and customers. I'll be wearing the compression garments at the chest area and the abdomen for the next few weeks and don't want to say it was from lipo (I work in construction, so I gotta have a manly excuse). What excuse have you guys given? So far, I came up with two:

* Broke a rib, fell off a ________, got on doctor-ordered bed rest & pain meds for three days and have to wear the brace/ garments for 3-4 weeks;

* Got an Umbilical Hernia that happened during squats, needed surgery to correct it & have to wear the brace/ garments for 3-4 weeks.

That's all I got. Any more ideas?

I like #2. You can always say at a recent routine check up they found something and had to do a little surgery to remove it. But I like your second reason better

I said I had torn my pec (partial tear). Not lifting put throwing someone in my Aikido class. I explained that I was going to pay more to have a plastic surgeon do it as he would be less evasive in his cutting methods as apposed to a general surgeon who would cut across the pec to reach the tear. I walked around with my right hand in the position like it would be if it were slung for a couple days prior to the surgery. I had it done on a Wednesday and returned to work the following Tuesday. No one ever questioned anything.

#1 is more believable... What would you have to wear a chest compression for umbilical, now rib fracture i can understand why.

Definately better to lie, you are right you would nnever hear the end of it in your profession.

Yeah, I got the hernia idea from my massage therapist who is an RN, so I think it may fly...yep, I had the injury on Tuesday night, immediate surgery on Wednesday morning...that's the ticket.

You're right, I might want to lean toward the rib fracture story because people will see my "bra straps" and foam through my shirts before they see the compression garment at my midsection.
