Costco is a good place to take a broad on a date. Yes?

While in college I used to take girls to Costco for many reasons. Best reason was it was a huge giant store filled with all kinds of shit to do. They have free food samples around so you can feed your broad without spending a dime.

You two can run down the aisles and test out the leather sofas on display. Bored? Head over to the big screen tv section and watch some random movie playing. Go to the next aisle down and they have home entertainment system. Play a game of ice hockey, try on some of the clothes or just relax on the patio furniture displays. You can even play hide and go seek in the frozen foods section.

I swear they would usually tell me it was the funnest date they've ever had. Way better than all that lame ass dinner/movies they've been to. Best of all it's free. You don't even need a Costco card. You can just tell the guy at the door that checks membership cards that your mom is already inside shopping.

Taking your date to Costco shows you have class and brains. You know how to show a girl a good time and you'd probably be a good person to marry because you know how to buy in bulk and save money. It's also creative and it makes the whole date fun and pressure free. Best part about it is if you two hit it off at the store, you can purchase a package of chicken breasts, a bag of frozen vegetables and tell her you're both going back to your place to cook some dinner(aka have sex).

I'm totally serious. Used to do this in college and was fantastic. Of course if you're a serious no personality dude then nothing you do will work out, but if you can pull it off its fun.

I used to work at Costco. Loved that place.

Well, I didn't really get paid, just worked there for a bit until they had enough of me. You and your dates would have enjoyed my entertainment at the TV displays.

Bruce, you sound like a cheapass. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. I know. I'm glad that you were able to pull it off. Many would not be able to do that. "My mom is already in the store" doesn't sound so great when you're with a chick though.

I'm not really a cheapass. I just think spending money on a girl for a first date is out of the question. Plus I don't like messing with money at first because it complicates things. If you don't spend money then she doesn't feel obligated. It makes her feel more comfortable than say going to an expensive dinner and a show.

I think it has to do with pulling it off. I tell girls I still live with my parents and my mom washes my clothes. They don't care if you're funny about it.

What did you do at the TV displays? I usually get hounded by the Verizon telephone booth sales people whenever I shop at Costco. They're always like "hey you look like you can use a new phone!"
