Allright i have a question. Is it possible to get a job or career in law enforcement If I've tried different controlled substances. Is it possible If I admit it to them if they ask me? Any law enforcement people here?

Of course it is possable...If it was not then there would be no cops in this world as I am willing to bet 90% of them have tried some controlled substance in there life time...I would just deny it though

Yeah dude of course you can. Like M18 said, most of the cops out there did drugs. You should see some of the cops i have seen, roided to the maxx. When i was in high school i spoke to a cop at a school party that was there to shaperon. He was a really cool dude, showed me his biceps, we talked about BBing, and you guessed it. He admitted to using steroids in the past. Like i said the dude was REAL and COOL.

Answer any questions as if you were a boy scout. Unless of course we're talking federal jobs some of which will give you a lie detector test. By itself admitting to casual use won't keep you from getting a job, but it won't help.

My friend is a cop and he smoked weed and he still juices. So yes you can do it still.

You really have to be more specific. All departments are different. I can tell you for sure that NYPD will only ask you and make you take a basic drug test ( testing for the big 3 ).

You can't go in there and answer everything like they would want. They know bullshit when they hear it. A friend of mine just went in and failed the test for that exact reason. He was told he failed because he answered every question to much like a cop instead of truly how he should have answered as an individual. They also do polygraph you in certain areas and ask about drugs and such. Another friend of mine who did pass was someone I used to regularly toss over my shoulders and take home from parties where he would pass out every so often. He never smoked or did other drugs but he drank like a fish. Now after passing and becoming an officer I think your more likely able to get away with juicing and such cuz they would rather have bigger more intimidating people on the force rather than a bunch of fat out of shape officers.

These are just a few things I have heard first hand from friends on the force and friends who have failed.
