controling cortisol / lovehandles

Bors, seems like the fat on the front and bottom of my abs is melting away but I can't seem to get rid of that lower back fat on the sides...there's just enough to piss me off. Sucks when my stomach is getting flat yet the sides on my back are taking their sweet time. When I take anti-E's I notice water weight sheds from my sides...but if it's cortisol/stress related what can I do?

My diet is incredibly clean and I've been making lean, solid gains. I'm seeing beautiful results...but I feel this little problem might be related to cortisol/stress...thing is I'm not even stressed. My bp has actually dropped to 120/60 while on test/preemo/derma. I feel more calm than ever before. I have a solid handle on carbs and blood sugar.

Advice? Any input is appreciated.

Interested to hear as well. I've got annoying fat in the same area.

lower abs and lower back are usually the last places for fat to come off for me. u just got to keep dropping bodyfat.

thing is i'm not on an all out cutter, so in that sense i haven't done EVERYTHING I can do to get rid of it

but...the front of me is nice and flat now, abs showing...but that little patch on my lower back is pissing me off....i'm very vain

just wanted to know if there was anything i can do in the meantime if it's not completely estrogen related

i'll try some anti-e's and continue doing what i'm doing...will report back in a few weeks

the love handles are more indirectly estrogen-dependent (high in a-2 receptors). the center belly is more cortisol dependent.

best was to lose the love handles, is lower estrogen, and thermogenic products containing yohimbe which is an a-2 antagonist. also, topical weight losss gels containing yohimbe work well for me on the love handles and lower back.

nice post; makes me happy cortisol is more center belly because that has melted away pretty fast for me

like i said, i'll try some anti-e's and then yohimbe if i feel it's necessary...maybe toward the end of my cycle i will add it in

The new sponsors product TARGEX BURN should work great for this bro.

We are releasing "EndoAmp" in a few days, which is phosphatidylserine for cortisol control.

The TargeX is a good product too.

I am currently cutting and feel your pain! The fat is coming off very well everywhere BUT my lovehandles are my biggest problem ey. REALLY pissed me off. I am 23 and have had lovehandles ALL my life...Been lifting for a few years now and have always been more about been/getting big. This time, I decided to cut and obtain more of a lean muscular physique, rather than simply looking big in a t, once and for all...get to a good 10% bf and do my best to stay there, even when getting back on mass gain. I am committed to dieting until my DAMN lovehandles are gone for good!!

I aint trying to jack the tread....main point is I hate my lovehandles too and really know where your coming from..

Interesting, from http://www.ultimatefatburner.com/relacore-review.html:

Cortisol is the body's main stress hormone, and is required for many vital purposes -- proper glucose metabolism, blood pressure, immune function and inflammatory response are a few. In times of stress, either mental or physical, the body can produce an excessive amount of cortisol. At these high levels, cortisol is a nasty little number indeed. It can negatively affect cognitive performance, suppress thyroid function, foster blood sugar imbalances and the subsequent deposition of body fat, decrease bone density, as well as other things. Athletes don't like cortisol, as it is catabolic -- i.e., muscle-wasting, rather than anabolic -- i.e., muscle building.

Bottom line?

Excess cortisol levels may indeed be *somewhat* responsible for excess fat deposition and weight gain, no doubt about it (you'll see why I say "somewhat" a little later on).

OK, now back to Relacore. The main ingredient, as it pertains to cortisol control, is Magnolia bark. Here's what SupplementWatch.com has to say about Magnolia bark...

"... a small dose of honokiol, or a magnolia bark extract standardized for honokiol content, can help to "de-stress" you without making you sleepy, while a larger dose might have the effect of knocking you out.
When compared to pharmaceutical agents such as Valium (diazepam), honokiol appears to be as effective in its anti-anxiety activity, yet not nearly as powerful in its sedative ability."

This "anti-anxiety" effect appears to be backed up by numerous animal studies (that, of course, doesn't mean it will work in an identical fashion in humans, but it does look promising). However, while the honokiol element of Magnolia bark may be an effective anxiolytic agent (J Pharm Pharmacol 2000;52:1425-9) there is no scientific data that validates its ability to lower cortisol levels.

^^ never heard of that active ingredient.

phosphatidylserine as mentioned in the PP product above (and also hi dose vitamin C, and glutamine) orally have studies showing effectiveness vs cortisol levels or effects

relacore work good?
Keeps me calm while on-cycle. I sometimes trip over little stuff because of the tren i think. Havent noticed too much else but they market it to control cortisol.
20 bucks a bottle w/ 90 caps. 2 caps 3 times a day.

bent over broom stick twist will really tighen up that lower back love handle area.

I know people claim spot reduction does not work but in this case it does.
Its not that you prob have much fat in the love handle area it's prob that it is just a soft untoned area.Buy toning the muscle it will be firmer

stand up put the broom stick over your shoulders keep legs together and feet touching, bend at the knees slightny then bend over so you face is looking at the ground
twist left and right over and over try sets of 40 then work up to 100 dont just swing pull with the area in your lower back on the sides
the muscle exact opposite of the obliques on the back side of your body.

I noticed big improvments in that area when doing the bent over stick twist for me it almost melts the fat right off the entire area def tones up the lower back doing them standing can really pull in the obliques for the front area also.

I had some of the worst love handles awhile back I started doing the stick twist and here is a picture of my love handles
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=6wp6mtg&s=1
they vanished

Thats a old pic a few months ago much tighter now . listen swole it takes some time id say you feel the tightening up pretty quick but try doing them atleast 3-4 weeks eod before you make up your mind oif it helps or not. I garantee you will see results
just like building tone in your arms or legs that lower back side area needs to be worked as well.
The core area of the body really tighens up with the twisting motion.
I stole the excersize from a WWE wrestler/ bodybuilder that comes in my gym
dude looks great and has a tight midsection his name is steve lewington .
so I have to give him credit for it.

good post chaz

to be honest my fat is melting away by the day :)

i'll keep everyone posted
