and the only person who had posts(one post.. because he copied it to all the r-ala threads) deleted was Iceman, mostly because he is attacking posters solely to increase sales of his racemic ALA.. which is hand capped (not GMP manufactured).. it is really quite sad that he has taken this route..

I beg to differ with that statement.

Let me first say, that as a business person myself...I acknowledge the fact that AF does pay money to advertise on this board. In a way...i guess that gives them more of a right to post than say someone who does not pay for advertising....I guess. But since this is a discussion fourm....does that mean discussions of other businesses that do not pay for advertising is prohibited.

For example....awile back Japaneese Machine had a post asking about someone on the boards selling 500 mg ALA caps. Two people responded with anabolical.com and there may have been other sources listed too. I did not start the thread..nor did I reply to it....and it was deleted. I have bumped threads recently that too were not started by me....but had positive comments towards anabolical....and these too were deleted. These are just a couple examples..

Yes...I know that advertising is "prohibited" but I see everything from fina kit sites to other message boards being advertised and there seems to be no problem.

I really have no problem with competition...my problem is when someone bashes another companies product...in order to make their own product look better.

I do not know Ulter personally.....buy when I see him refer to racemic ALA as "crap"...yes this sound just a little absurd to me. The numerous post on ALA (pre r-ALA) very easily show that racemic ALA is an excellent product. As someone pointed out before...would it not be better to try and promote the advantages of r-ALA rather that smear all racemic mixtures?

Far be it from me to tell anyone how to run their business...but I have been in the business world long enough to know that smear type tactics can...and do sometimes work to the disadvantage of all parties involved.....and I know this is not what they... nor I want.

If I said that ALA is crap you'll have to show me where. I don't remember doing that.

As far as people selling thing on the board goes, in a conversation I had with George a few weeks back he indicated that the problem of people posting for no other reason but to sell something had in his words "gotten out of hand" and I agree. It starts with one or two people and before you know it the board is a flea market. I think George has addressed this as an issue that needs to be rectified and that's why you are seeing posts deleted when they are made with no contribution to the board other than to sell something.

Like I have said a few times now. If we had chosen to compete in the ALA market instead of bringing a better product, given our buying power, we would have just cut everyones prices in half and given them a lab sealed bottle and not a plastic bag of hand capped ALA. Then there would be no competition.

As I posted on another thread earleir, if anone doesn't understand that this entire board is based on economics they are in for a big surprise.

Not that this is necessarliy bad, it's just sad that some don't realize it.

Ecinomics of course play a role in everything. This site takes a lot of money to run and maintain not to mention the legal expenses involved and I am proud to say that EF is likely the only board on the net that will goto bat for its users and their privacy. This of course costs money and this money has to come from somewhere which is why people are encouraged to join platinum.

LOL .. seriously, AF has been fair in my book from the beginning, one of the only supp companies/distributors I respect... I have used the NYC and was quite happy with it and the fair price. I am using the r-ala now and will post my thoughts on it's bodycomp changes in a few weeks, I do know so far that I go into hypo with it very easily.
