computer problem

I have a really annoying menu on my desktop that I can't de-activate.
It's a thick as bar on the left side that says
"folder options"
"other places"
"details"
like the "My computer" window actually.
I've gone through mt toolbars options,and all fucking over the place but can't kill this fucker!

click and hold down on the gray area and drag it to the center of your desktop.

log off, log back in.
or just restart.

unplug all cables from computer
pick up computer
carry computer to nearest open window that is at least 3 stories high
set computer down and jump out window

Maybe you could take a screen shot of you desk top and post it. Might be easier for someone to help if they could see what you're talking about. The screen shot could be a very large file though so that may not be an option.

i c... u r running "custom desktop" bs on win xp. Pretty sure, Right click on the desktop, go to properties, then desktop tab... then go to customize desktop... I think u can enable/disable all those menus there. Not sure though, they look pretty lame

if I accidentelly left those settings and then removed the program that did it in the first place,should'nt its applications be deleted too?If not wtf>?

Reinstall the progerma and get rid of it.

I'm sure there is a way to get rid of it without the porgram but that would probably involve the regisrty and you don't want to go there.
