computer problem please help win xp crashed keeps rebooting wont start !!! 50k karma

[HAYEZ]

if someone can hlep me ill give them 50k karma

so comp crashed tonight...went to restart the computer and it started on the screen that gives the option

start normal
safe mode
safe mode with netowrking
safe mode with prompt comman

start with last workign settings

so anyways no matter what i select it keeps looping back to this original start menu..the cnmputer will not start no matter what i do...anyone have any ideas?

My HD failed on my HP less than 6 months old. Lost everything I hadn't backed up for a couple months. I couldn't get into safe mode or anything on mine, had to reboot the windows software and start over with a new HD. Good luck.

Boot up XP recovery CD and it'll go into recovery console mode, and give you option to fix your windows system?

If not, reintsall xp and serviced packs. No you won't lose you rfiles, but you'll have to reinstall your drivers and software. But try booting into different last saved configuations til you get one that works. Or just take it to geek squad and let them do it.

that happened to me once for a couple days.....I kept trying and one time it just worked......hasnt done it since.

Use the xp dvd to bootup and let it recover your corrupted windows boot partition. You can google for screenshots and instructions. If it can't fix it, only a reinstall will fix it. It might wipe out yoru favorites though.

I tried rebooting with XP home, I have XP media center and it told me it couldn't, that my current windows is more current. I was like WTF NOT THE POINT< NEED TO REFORMAT!

I tried to run the recovery disks and the screen stay blue and never does anything. Fuckkkkkk!!!! Sound like hd is fried?

So as soon as I turn the comp on it goes right to the screen with the start up options for safe mode etc...I try to start comp every diff way and nothing works. I hit f11 to do the boot disk and it don't work. How do I reinstall windows?

When computers loop upon boot it can be due to BSOD 9blue screen of death) turn pc off then tuirn back on and start taping on F8 when you get the menu scroll down and llok for something like "disabled automatic restart upon system failure" then it will reboot again, if it gives you a BSOD please let me know the code that is BEFORE the parenthesis
You may also insert the recovery or instalation CD, reboot pc press any key to boot from cd, once it loads it will give you a recovery option, select it and it will take you to recovery console (command prompt) try the following basic commands
fixboot (enter)
fixmb (enter)
If they don't work try them with C: after the command IE: fixboot c: (enter)

Let me know how it goes

AJA!!!! I knew it was a BSOD 0x000000ED ususally means HD issue (not necessarily damages) specially since it says unmountable, probably the boot secotr or master boot sector have issues so you have 2 options:
1. Unplug and replug the HD
2. Insert installation or recovery DC, restart computer, press any key (like arrow key) to boot from it, as soon as it boots start taping on F10and/or R (it varies from disc to disc) this should take us to the recovery console/command prompt, try the following basic commands:
fixboot (enter)

fixmb (enter)

If they don't work try them with C: after the command IE: fixboot c: (enter) then type exit and let PC reboot, if issue persists go back to command prompt and type chkdsk /r (enter) and let me know the result

i have 2 laptops the same..just made a set of recovery disks so im trying to reformat and refresh it...i tried to repair it and it just froze..once i got to disk 2 also the power shut off when i was reformatting..im starting over now..any ideas why power would shut off?

Power can be voltage or overheating, try putting pc in cooling pad or remove a/c and battery, press power button 20 seconds and lace battery and a/c back in
