you want to get rid of vista and have xp back?

1. turn off computer
2. insert XP boot disk
3. follow instructions to delete partition and re-create partition
4. install xp

cant do that. Vista doesn't let you 'downgrade' or anything. I have to completely wipe the drive through DOS then i guess. Truss me I've tried. I even downloaded partition magic and it didnt work.Billy gates doesn't want people to NOT be able to remove this once its installedl lol.

You can't format a drive with window, while windows is running.

Do you know how to boot in DOS? I can help you out if you can get that far.

I have no idea with vista.
If you can get there, type in "fdisk". Follow all they prompts, and you are formated. Easy.

when you restart your computer your BIOS goes through a test called POST. This is the very first screen when booting up, it should say somewhere what key to hit to configure the bios
