Compounds and Sleep

Is it normal to require excess sleep if you've deadlifted/squatted? I noticed that I'm extremely tired during the day and I must sleep in excess of 2-3 hours in addition to the 6-8 hours at night. Would it be wise to do heavy compounds the night before exams or should I keep light? Unfortunately my vital exams are 9:00 am. I don't wanna doze off during exams.
 
i work out at night, i dont seem to have a problem with exams the next day...it helps me to relax instead of stresing and cramming last minute
 
definately the same thing happens to me. i need more sleep before heavy compounds to be able to hit the lifts, and way more sleep than normally to not be very sore in the morning.
